About the role
We're seeking an experienced Underground Mining Engineer who is looking to play a key role in the ongoing success of Federation Mine.
Bringing strong technical expertise across mine planning, drill and blast, ventilation and optimisation, you'll have the opportunity to influence operational performance, mentor others and contribute to the continued growth of our underground operation.
Working closely with the Operations, Technical Services and Redpath, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, practical and innovative mining solutions that support production targets, optimise mine performance and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will influence key operational decisions while fostering strong partnerships between owner and contractor teams.
Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)
Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSW
Travel options
DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance
FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
Qualifications and experience
Mining Engineering Degree
Strong underground hard rock mining experience
Demonstrated experience in stope design and short-term mine planning
Experience with drill and blast design and execution
Knowledge of mine ventilation and mine optimisation principles
Proficiency in Deswik software
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Current C Class Driver's Licence
